Kerala is a jewel of mystical beauty and rich Hindu culture.
It is the place where, during Dvāpara-yuga, Paraśurāma Himself worshipped the iconic Deity Padmanabhaswamy – the reclined Lord Viṣṇu. This Deity is considered to have all the Trimūrti aspects – Brahmā, Viṣṇu and Śiva – within It, and is famously refered in many Purāṇas.
Paramahamsa Vishwananda will be visiting Kochi, Guruvayur and Alappuzha, covering 5 of the Divya Desam present in these sacred places, which were installed personally by the five Pāṇḍavas.
Join this incredible adventure as we travel back in time and rediscover the hidden secrets of India, like the ancient Svayaṁbhu mūrti called Chottanikkara Devi, a deity installed by the Grace of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya. Legend says that, upon realizing that there was no temple for Mahā-Lakṣmī in Kerala, Ādi Śaṅkarācārya meditated on the Divine Mother. Pleased with his devotion, the Goddess agreed to follow him wherever he went on foot, upon the condition that he should never look back to check Her presence. But on their journey towards Kerala, the saint was forced to look back to check on Her, and punishing him, the Goddess manifested Herself in Kochi, for all to visit and workship.
Other highlights include Sree Vallabha Temple, which majesty has been glorified by the Āḻvārs in the
Divya-prabandham. Legend states that Viṣṇu appeared here as Sree Vallabha for Sage Durvāsa, who is said to visit the temple every midnight to worship the Lord.
Don’t miss out on this incredible journey to South India, as we dive deeper in the temple of our own hearts through these inspiring places, with the Grace of Paramahamsa Vishwananda.
