Journey to the Sacred Sources Himalayas with Sati Kazanova

June 1, 2023 - June 12, 2023

We will visit and almost completely cover the Chota Char Dham Yatra –  the main pilgrimage route of the Indian Himalayas. Chota Char Dham includes the sources of the great sacred rivers of India and the main abodes of Lord Narayana and Lord Shiva on earth.

Yamunotri – here, in a small village there is a temple of goddess Yamuna, and a little higher in the glacial lake the sacred river Yamuna originates. Yamuna represents Prem, the love of God, and to rise to its origins means to receive a blessing to develop this pure love.

In the last village on the way to the Gangotri glacier, there is a Ganga-devi Temple, and a few kilometres above, the Ganga River is born, falling in a stream from the tangled hair of Lord Shiva. The Ganges represents purification, it carries away all our sins in its waters.

If the Ganges cleanses one from negativity, then the Yamuna multiplies one’s good merits and qualities. By taking a bath in both sacred rivers, a person can achieve spiritual perfection and liberation.

Kedarnath is the most inaccessible of the Char Dhams. It can only be reached on foot or by helicopter. This is the abode of Shiva, and here is the unique and one of a kind Shivalingam.

After visiting the shrines in the mountains, we will descend to Rishikesh, the capital of yoga, where the sacred Ganges emerges from narrow gorges and flows in full force across the plains. Here, we will spend three days at Spa hotel, learn Atma Kriya Yoga, sing mantras and practise Om-chanting in the fresh air of the Himalayan foothills.

During the entire pilgrimage, I will be with you, and together with Rishika Abirami, a nun from India, we will tell you about these places and guide you to the origins of the spiritual world of India.
