Journey with the Master
Maharashtra, India
March 2-8, 2025
2400 euro (223500 INR)

Ashtavinayak Yatra is a journey to the eight Ganapati temples. Vinayaka is one of Ganesha’s names. All of the temples are located around the city of Pune, Maharashtra, and are dedicated to the eight aspects of Lord Ganesha, the god who is the personification of insight and good fortune.

All the eight murtis of Ganesha are self-manifested and visiting these temples is the most important journey in the life of his devotees.

The main temple of Mayureshwar is called Adhya-pitha and it is said that it extends from infinity to infinity and only the smallest part of it is manifested in the material world in the form of this beautiful temple. The Ganesha Purana also says that this is one of the three main places of Ganesha’s residence. The other two are Kailash and the Ashi Shesha Palace in Patalaloka.
